It has an auto-shut off and another feature called the soft start-system. The auto shut off basically shuts off the mixer when it gets too hot to avoid over heating and the soft start feature minimizes the amount of mess that the mixer causes (this is extremely handy when your cooking messy recipes)

Stand Mixer Header Design – This kitchenaid pro 600 series mixer has a bowl lifting design. This head with this model, you cant tilt it and move it out of the way, instead when your ready to mix you lift the bowl up to the mixer attachment. You use a lever on the side which moves the bowl up to the mixer attachment. The bowl is held in place with some side pins and when ever you want to lift your bowl you simply need to move the crank lever a half turn and the bowl is raised and then once you are finished mixing you lower the bowl

Power – You have a massive 575 watts of power on tap from this mixer which will make childs play of mixing, kneading  or whipping. This is one of the most powerful stand mixers available from kitchenaid and theres only actually a few more mixers from any of the other brands which produce more power, but with 575 watts your not going to be running into any power problems any time soon

Kitchenaid use the flour power scale when ever they rate there stand mixers and this model is no different. Its basically based on how much flour can be used in one bowl in the mixer and the scale is 8 to 14 cups. The kitchenaid pro 600 series mixer has a rating of 14 which means you can make any recipe with a maximum of adding 14 cups of flour.
